Course Information

Location & Accessibility

Located at 4 Westmoreland Place, Pasadena, CA 91103, Eagle Hollow is conveniently situated just minutes from downtown Pasadena and easily accessible from the 210 and 134 freeways. The course is nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, providing stunning mountain views and a serene golfing environment away from urban congestion.

Playing Options: Eagle Hollow is a public golf course welcoming all players. We offer attractive rates for residents, juniors (under 18), and seniors (55+). All tee times are fully pre-paid and non-refundable to ensure course availability and optimal playing conditions.

Course Architecture & Design

Architect: Robert Trent Jones II, one of golf's most celebrated course designers, crafted Eagle Hollow to showcase his philosophy of environmental harmony and strategic golf. Jones II has designed over 270 courses in 40 countries, and Eagle Hollow represents his commitment to creating courses that challenge the mind as much as the swing.

The course features Jones' trademark risk-reward design elements, where players must decide between aggressive lines offering birdie opportunities or conservative routes ensuring par. Deep bunkers with sharp faces guard greens and fairways, while native grasses and natural hazards define playing corridors.

Signature Holes: The par-3 14th hole plays over water to an island green surrounded by bunkers, requiring precise club selection and execution. The finishing hole, a par-5 18th, offers eagles for the bold while punishing wayward shots with water down the left side.

Course Conditions & Maintenance

Turf: Fairways feature premium hybrid Bermuda grass that provides excellent lies and playability year-round. Greens are bentgrass, offering true roll and receptive surfaces that hold approach shots. Tees are maintained with Bermuda grass for optimal durability and aesthetics.

Green Speed: Greens typically run at 10-11 on the stimpmeter for daily play, increased to championship speeds of 12-13 for tournaments. Our greens are known for their consistent pace and true roll.

Maintenance Standards: Our dedicated grounds crew maintains tournament-quality conditions year-round. Fairways are mowed daily during peak season, greens are rolled multiple times weekly, and bunkers are raked daily. The course undergoes aerification twice annually to ensure optimal playing surfaces.
